Congrats are in order!
- 2025 Skills Canada British Columbia Provincial Medalist List, including four people from North Saanich: Bronze for Ruben Brooks, Callum Fell, Venay Grills from North Saanich Middle School for Jr.Skills/Wind Turbine, and Silver for Drishti Balaiah from Parkland Secondary School for Public Speaking
- Local author, Tracey Lindberg, has been appointed to the jury of the prestigious CBC Short Story prize. Maria Reva and Terry Fallis are the other two members of the jury, which will select the shortlist and the winner in the spring of 2026. The winner will receive $6,000 from the Canada Council for the Arts, a two-week writing residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity and have their work published on CBC Books.
- Former provincial MLA Adam Olsen successfully defended his M.Sc. Degree at Royal Roads, entitled “ÍY SĆÁ (Good Work): A Study of Emergent Leadership”
